Excelsior is one of five artworks created by Peter Blake for his much admired USA Series. The collection takes inspiration from the USA, and features found art from the artist s vast collection of Americana.
Excelsior is a wonderful combination of many of Blake s keen interests, namely nostalgic vintage photography of Hollywood starlets, typography, advertisements, and cartoons. Blake combines collage, glazes, glitter and embossing to bring his treasures to life.
This silkscreen print is part of a limited edition of 100, signed by the artist.
