Marcelina Amelia has created Postcard for Ukraine to raise funds for PCM Garczyn – a youth centre that has been designated as a place of collective residence for refugees from Ukraine.
The piece depicts civil rights activist and ‘the mother of the freedom movement, Rosa Parks – known for her pivotal role in the Montgomery Bus Boycott that led to the desegregation of buses in the USA. Amelia explains:
Rosa has always been an inspiration and restores my faith in the idea that every single person and every small action can make a huge difference. We live in an overwhelming and unfair world where it’s easy to lose faith. Our fight for quality and freedom is far from over, but Rosa’s story gives me hope that we can do it.”
Add this postcard to your order at the checkout and all proceeds go directly to the charity.
