Don Brown is a contemporary British artist known for figurative sculptural works that hark back to the concept of muse by depicting his wife Yoko in various states of undress.
In La Pleiade, Brown offers his take on a memento mori, capturing Yoko cradling a skull as a reflection on the fragility of life.
This piece was created for In The Darkest Hour There May Be Light – Damien Hirst’s 2006 exhibition that is widely considered his most influential to date. The critically-acclaimed show and print portfolio displayed Hirst’s work alongside that of his friends and contemporaries, including Angus Fairhurst, Angela Bulloch and Sarah Lucas.
This print is from a limited edition of 50, this artwork comes framed in a 20mm white box frame with a white float.
