British contemporary artist Ryan Callanan AKA RYCA is known for entertaining artworks that play with motifs from popular culture, be that music, film or sweary sayings that have made it into the modern vernacular.
In Diamond Dust Spinner, RYCA offers a fresh take on his enormously popular spinners, applying diamond dust to his acid smiley with spectacular effect.
To create the piece, RYCA carves the face out of wood before painting it and applying silkscreen on acrylic to enhance the 3D effect.
This original piece comes mounted in a metal frame and signed by the artist.
