Mike Edwards has created Beans, Beans, Beans especially for the Enter Gallery Art Yard Sale 2022.
Using song lyrics, memorable quotes or his own poetic compositions, Edwards layers text in graduating colours to create his unique artworks.
In Beans Beans Beans Edwards marries his typography work with his Startled Artist series to recreate a five pound note. He uses items from a typical shopping list to produce the shading of the note …but can you spot the band name he’s inserted as a nod to his work portraying musical icons?
On the day of the Art Yard Sale, Edwards will have 10 of this piece on his stand with gaps in the shopping list ready for him to hand-write in grocery items of each person’s choosing.
From a limited edition of 50, the piece has hand-deckled edges and is signed and numbered by the artist.
