Blown Away is a limited edition artwork by prominent street artist, Mr Brainwash – an artist who was launched onto the art scene in 2010 off the back of the Banksy-directed documentary, Exit Through the Gift Shop.
Blown Away is Brainwash’s adaption of ‘Blown Away Guy’ – an iconic advert from the 1980s, produced by electronics company, Maxell, to sell their line of audio cassettes. Back then, the image gained instant popularity for the powerful statement it makes about the power of music to move the mind, body and soul.
By teaming the advertising image, with Tomato Spray, the artist’s own adaption of Andy Warhol’s infamous Campbell’s Soup Cans, Brainwash produces a piece that highlights the transformational power of Pop Art.
Blown Away is an original piece on newspaper, signed by the artist.
