Haus Of Lucy is a contemporary artist who appropriates found objects and images, and slips in quirky nods to contemporary culture. Her creations disrupt the ordinary and form new, thought-provoking and highly-amusing works of art.

Speaking of this piece, Lucy reveals:

“I am really interested in Delft tiles and how snapshots of life can be contained within these little squares. I wanted to create my own contemporary versions, each one depicting everyday objects familiar to us (particularly in the western world). I d like to think if the tiles were buried and rediscovered a hundred years later, the archaeologists of the future would learn something about us. Even if it s just that we definitely had strange taste in footwear – and I speak as a Crocs fan!”
