London-based artist, Gavin Mitchell reworks found objects, using photography, collage and print, to explore the relationship between East and West. By using contradictory imagery, Mitchell highlights the difference and similarities between Japanese and European culture.
In The Glossies, Mitchell’s geisha has a smoke and relaxes with her favourite glossy magazine – Playboy.
