This series of original artworks has been created especially for The Mix – Enter Gallery’s 2024 group show of original artworks from a selection of our artists.   

Richard Berner is a Brighton-based artist known for his ‘surrealist architecture , which involves creating artworks from a meticulously-hand-drawn cast of little figures, that he calls ‘Champs.    

Fallen Dreams is a series of 25 unique illustrations. Each artwork in the collection is a prime example of Berner’s eccentric and imaginative oeuvre, and a wonderful opportunity to own a piece by this rising star. Speaking of how this collection came to be, Berner reveals: 

While creating A Dream Within A Hundred Dreams, there were a number of squares which I loved individually but felt didn t fit within the larger image when I placed them all together. I added more to this collection along the way and they became my Fallen Dreams.   

These original works are created using pen, ink, gouache and gold leaf on paper. They come signed by the artist.
