Dirty Hans is a painter and illustrator specialising in high impact contemporary urban art. His work fuses Pop Art sensibilities with realism, and borrows imagery from popular culture to create fun pieces which evoke a sense of time and place.
In Flowers, Hans brings together a Renaissance-style still life with pop culture references. The piece includes multiple nods to Pop Art with Warhol’s Campbell’s soup tin, Damien Hirst’s diamond-encrusted, For the Love of God, and Keith Haring’s flower heads nestled in amidst the chaos.
