In her second collection, Boom Selection, street artist Kid-B has continued to pay homage to her musical heroes. The collection is a celebration of UK garage, and even its title is a nod to the genre, borrowing it from the track of the same name by Genius Cru.
The lyrics for this piece come from smash hit, You Got the Love by The Source featuring Candi Staton. Although the track was originally released in 1986, it was remixed and re-released in 1991, 1997 and 2006, and has been covered by the likes of Florence and the Machine and Joss Stone.
