50 is one of five silkscreen prints created for Peter Blake s Wooden Puzzle Series, a collection of collages produced from printed ephemera and objects from Peter Blake s extensive personal collection of found objects.
In the series, Blake once again celebrates day-to-day objects and reinvigorates popular items and characters from a bygone age. Via the use of glazes, glitter and embossing, Blake restores each object to its former glory.
The objects chosen to be the focus of 50 include a shell, knife, photograph of Elvis Presley, and a house number plaque.
The print is from a limited edition of 100, signed by the artist.
