Contemporary street artist, Lee Eelus is known for his vivid prints and murals, which are characterised by black and white figures, surrounded by joyous displays of colour. His art celebrates the vibrancy of the human spirit, and via his painting, prints, murals and sculptures, he returns colour and character to our (at times) grey world.

When the Music s Over and Cosmic Flotsam are a pair of prints, created by Lee Eelus for the Scope Art Show Miami in 2016, which ran concurrently with Miami Art Basel. The images, featuring beautiful interplay of colour and shade, are placed side-by-side to tell a story. In the first, a monochrome stencil of two young girls from the 1950s is surrounded by the colourful cosmic flotsam of the title. In the second, a man with broom in hand has neatly tidied away the debris.

This seven-colour hand-pulled screenprint is from a limited edition of 50, signed and numbered by the artist.

Size (cm): 50 x 65
