Untitled 1 is part of Grayson Perry s 2015 collection, Six Snapshots of Julie. The series traces the artist’s invented character, Julie Cope, as she passes from youth to middle age in a series of narrative snapshots from her upbringing in Essex, where Perry himself grew up.
In the piece, an adolescent Julie stands outside her family home, playing with her dog and her brother.
Six Snapshots of Julie is a series of 6 woodcuts with lithographic underlays published in 2015, in an edition of 68. Each print is signed by the artist and numbered on the reverse.
