Two Turntables and a Microphone is an original painting by Brighton-based contemporary artist, Mike Edwards.
The title hails from Where It’s At, a song from Beck’s Odelay album. In choosing the lyric, ‘Two Turntables and a Microphone’, Edwards makes a point about the importance of expressing ourselves. He states:
“It doesn t matter what tools are used for that expression, whether it s a painting, a book, or literally two turntables and a microphone on a street corner, that channel to express ourselves always needs to be open.”
This original piece is created with acrylic on board with fluorescent pigment and triple UV varnish. It comes presented in a fluorescent green yellow painted wood frame.
