Dan Faine is a full time artist, printmaker, and co-founder of Dark Matter Studio, a boutique print making studio who produce works for the likes of Peter Blake and Yinka Ilori.
In his art, Faine enjoys taking things out of context, and isolating objects from their usual surroundings.
The colours in this series are inspired by famous paintings, lending the works an air of familiarity despite their surreal nature. Here, the colours and composition are based on Pierre Bonnard’s painting, The Window (1925).
This laser cut archival pigment print is mounted on conservation board. From a limited edition of 25, it comes signed and numbered by the artist.
