The Feeling Cheap

The Feeling is a 2-Colour Silkscreen Print with Gloss by contemporary artist Poppy Faun. Printed onto 410gsm Somerset Satin Paper, the print is from a limited edition of 30 and is signed and numbered by the artist.

Collage artist and graphic designer, Poppy Faun, uses retro imagery from the 1960s and 70s to create a contemporary aesthetic of escapism. Futuristic and otherworldly, through the piecing together of fragments from the past, Faun’s work fuses rock and roll with vintage fashion for a revolutionary edge.

Radiating cool, ‘The Feeling’ blends 1960s photography with retro graphics for a bold and powerfully visual work of art. A 60s chick, complete with beehive, eyeliner flicks, and sartorial stripes (think one of Warhol’s Factory girls) dances out of the dark in grainy tones of black and white. With her hand thrust towards the viewer, Faun has overlaid bright red, spiral graphics, as if pulsating from the it-girl’s palm, for brilliant retro vibes in stunning contemporary form.
