Visual artist, Julian Opie is best-known for portraits that reduce his subjects to just essential lines and colours, as seen in the Best of Blur album artwork that made him a household name.

Suzanne Number 1 is from Opie s Watching Suzanne series, a set of 20 prints depicting a cropped image of a woman s torso and thighs. Despite using such simplified shapes, Opie s capacity for capturing the human form in movement strikes a wonderful balance between graphic design and high art.  

From a limited edition of 25, the piece is signed and numbered by the artist.
