Slave to the Rhythm was created by RYCA especially for his 2023 solo show at Enter Gallery, Words Are Weapons.
In the typographic show, RYCA pays homage to quotes from TV, film and music that are so iconic, they have the capacity to provoke emotion in us all. This show marks 15 years since RYCA first immortalised lyrics in his art.
One for the music lovers, in this piece RYCA pays homage to Grace Jones’s classic disco track with the lyrics depicted in his signature sign-writing style.
This hand-finished artwork is created with enamel paint on MDF board. From a limited edition of 16, it comes framed in a bespoke frame and signed and numbered by the artist.
