Mixed-media artist, Mark Davies is known for creating striking compositions which apply his own narrative to that of beloved movies, fairy tales and fiction. Inspired by the likes of Hans Christian Andersen and The Brothers Grimm, Davies likes to err on the side of the sinister, composing his pieces to further explore the darker themes underlying the stories we cherish.
In OUTAHERE, Davies applies his mesmerising magic to Back to the Future. The piece depicts Doc’s DeLorean emerging from the tunnel where Marty risked his life to steal the coveted almanac back from Biff. Look a little closer and you’ll see nods to the franchise, from the hoverboard, to the Enchantment Under the Sea dance.
