Lubaina Himid is a Turner-Prize winning British artist and curator whose art focuses on themes of cultural history and reclaiming identities. The artwork was created when Himid, along with seven leading international artists, was commissioned to produce a unique piece to honour 21 years of the Tate.

The print is derived from Himid s largest installation piece to date, entitled Naming the Money. The installation featured 100 life-sized cut outs of African slaves, each given a distinct name and backstory to restore their identities.

Naming the Money: Kwesi, 2004 2021 is a 24-Colour Silkscreen and Inkjet print. From a limited edition of 300, piece is signed, titled and numbered by the artist.
