Ryan Callanan aka RYCA has created this piece especially for his 2022 solo show at Enter Gallery, Playtime – a journey inspired by ‘countless hours wasted bashing buttons’.

In this nostalgic series of original paintings, RYCA recreates classic Sega packaging with nods to modern internet terminology, music and movies. In Love is a Burning Thing, RYCA pays homage to classic Johnny Cash track, Ring of Fire.

Playtime marks the artist’s first time presenting a series of paintings, and as he explains: ‘this could be the first and the last time…’
