This piece was created by RYCA especially for his 2023 solo show at Enter Gallery, Words Are Weapons.
In the typographic show, RYCA pays homage to quotes from TV, film and music that are so iconic, they have the capacity to provoke emotion in us all. This show marks 15 years since RYCA first immortalised lyrics in his art.
Here, RYCA playfully mixes the lyrics from Pharrell’s 2013 smash hit, Happy, with his signature acid smiley to create a piece that celebrates rave culture.
This hand-finished original artwork is a silkscreen print on glass with resin relief. It comes framed in a bespoke frame and is signed and numbered by the artist.
