This piece is from Charlotte Rose’s 2022 London show, Too Much of A Good Thing, which was sponsored by Enter Gallery. The show explores the clever artistry of classic branding that’s responsible for building culture, law and nostalgia.
In Guzzle, Rose portrays Daffy Duck looking less than pleased by Shell’s new tagline. Rose explains:
‘I’m interested in how, as time progresses and the population awakens to the hidden dangers of products once portrayed as their friend, the branding and the culture around it begin to fall away.’
This giclée print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Satin is hand-finished with acrylic. The piece is available in two sizes. Both sizes are from limited editions of 20, and come signed by the artist.
