This signed silkscreen print, in a limited edition of 250, comes from The Godfather of Pop Art, Sir Peter Blake. It features the cover art for Gettin In Over My Head, the seventh solo album from Brian Wilson, and was named one of the Most Beautiful Album Covers of all Time by the Guardian.
In classic Peter Blake style, the piece combines cut-out figures, Victoriana and found graphic shapes and colours. Each track name is hand-written by Wilson and positioned beside the 1950s American imagery chosen to best illustrate the song.
The print is one of 20 album covers Blake has created for some of the world s biggest artists, from Paul Weller s Stanley Road, to the iconic Beatles album, Sgt. Pepper s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
