This piece is from Peter Blake s Found Art series and is inspired by one of the earliest tenets of Pop Art, the idea that even the most basic everyday object can be transformed into fine art. Rather than opting to depict major commercial brands like Warhol, Blake uses found objects that most would cast aside.
In this series, Blake has used digital technology to enlarge the objects that are the focus of the piece, encouraging us to consider them in a different light. Found Art: Winston features a well-worn packet of Winston King Size cigarettes.
From a limited edition of 25, the print is signed by the artist. This piece comes framed in a 25mm white box frame.
