Erre is a Colombian street artist who creates rousing murals and prints designed to inspire and empower women to fight for equality. Erre s artworks tackle corruption, hypocrisy and feature strong female figures as a direct challenge to the culture of machismo in Latin America, and beyond. 

In this piece, featuring a mother holding her daughter, Erre reflects on how it s not the police that look after women, mothers, and sisters, and individuals have to look out for themselves and each other.
