Part of Kid-B’s collection, The Boom Selection—a celebration of 90s and 00s British garage music—Ill Bring You Flowers incorporates lyrics from the 1999 Sweet Female Attitude song Flowers. The words “I’ll bring you flowers in the pouring rain” are written out in dark purple spray paint scrawl, encircled by a red neon heart, and shot through with Cupid’s arrow.
The piece has a contemporary urban feel, like a visual remix of Sweet Female Attitude’s original electronic remix of the song. Kid-B is known for her bass DJing as B-Trix Kiddo. In both her music and her printmaking, Kid-B salutes the street scenes of early 90s Britain.
