Nick Smith is a British artist known for using collaged paint swatches to recreate iconic paintings, film posters and still life pieces. In Going to Need A Bigger Boat, he reimagines the infamous movie poster for Steven Spielberg 1975 classic, Jaws.
In this piece, Smith has replaced the names of his paint swatches with words from the film’s most chilling scene, where shark hunter, Quinn, describes the horror of being stranded in the ocean with hundreds of his fellow servicemen, while slowly being picked off by sharks, one-by-one.
From an Artist Proof edition, this giclée print is signed and numbered by the artist.
This artwork comes framed in a 25mm white box frame and white shadow float.
