God Save Our Forests is a silkscreen print by Jamie Reid, the man behind the Sex Pistols album cover God Save the Queen – an image that would define a generation.

Today, Reid is no less political or provocative. Unafraid to speak his mind, he continues to produce artwork that agitates the current political climate – or the actual environmental climate, for that matter.

God Save Our Forests is a powerful statement on ecological change through deforestation. In a raw and retro collage style, Reid depicts a circle of children, hands clasped around the trunk of a tree while two brutish men try to axe it from above. At the bottom of the print, Reid s signature, newspaper collage font spells out the title.
