Slim Aarons is an American photographer known for capturing (in his own words) ‘attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places.’ By winning the trust of his subjects, Slim was able to shoot some of the most intimate portraiture of the 20th century.

Florence Pritchett is from Slim Aarons’ Style Collection – a set of 12 new images released in 2021, hailing from the early years of his career. The photograph depicts the fashion editor turned social hostess in Palm Beach in 1950. Pritchett was married to Earl E.T Smith, who was US ambassador to Cuba during the revolutionary years.  

This C-Type photography print is available in a range of sizes, and is part of an open edition, stamped by the publisher.

The images in the Slim Aarons collection have slightly different sizes, this is quite common for photography that was shot in analogue as opposed to digital. 

The print dimensions provided refer to the paper size, including the white border, and not to the printed area.
