Each piece in the collection depicts Aarons original photographic slides, complete with his hand-written notes on who, and what, the image depicts.
Desert House Party, Slide was taken on the same day as one of Aaron’s most iconic images, Poolside Gossip. It was snapped at the Palm Springs home of American businessman and philanthropist, Edgar J. Kaufmann, and features Lita Baron, Helen Dzo Dzo and Nelda Linsk, wife of art dealer, Joseph Linsk.
This piece is from an open edition, and comes in a variety of sizes.
The images in the Slim Aarons collection have slightly different sizes, this is quite common for photography that was shot in analogue as opposed to digital.Â
The print dimensions provided refer to the paper size, including the white border, and not to the printed area.
