Acclaimed contemporary artist and YBA, Ian Davenport, is best known for his poured lines and puddle paintings.
Colour Splat Wallop hails from a series in which the artist experimented with the colours and textures of household emulsion paints, applying them to the canvas in a range of physical approaches. In this instance, Davenport splatted the paint onto the surface and allowed them to drip into a network of rainbow squiggles.
