In Before Religion II, British artist Louise McNaught masterfully captures the essence of the rhino; showcasing its beauty, while also inviting the observer to confront their complicity in the demise of the species.

This piece was created for McNaught s 2016 show, Survival, featuring paintings of 20 endangered animals.
