Since his career began in the 1950s, Sir Peter Blake has been prolific, creating paintings, collage, typography and more inspired by his fascination with popular culture. Blake’s impact on the face of contemporary art is so significant, he is now known as the ‘Godfather of Pop Art.’

This print is one of a series of four featuring the now-repurposed BBC building in West London, surrounded by a cast of beloved actors, children s characters and television personalities, spanning decades.

As the name suggests, BBC 2 Remembering Pauline Boty is a tribute to the late artist, who was one of the founders of Pop Art, and the only woman in the British wing of the movement. Featured in the image are the likes of Bob the Builder, Bill Oddie, Manuel from Fawlty Towers, and Bananaman. Who else can you spot?

This giclée print is from a limited edition of 75, signed by the artist.
