Paul Insect is an anonymous British artist, known for colourful, multi-textured collaged portraits, who rose to prominence as part of the ‘Insect’ collective in the late 90s. Damien Hirst bought Insect’s entire solo show in 2007, and his work appeared in Banksy’s 2015 pop-up, Dismaland.

In this piece, Insect depicts a young man, his face concealed with a Union Jack bandana. The subject is sporting the distinctive eye make-up of the droogs from Clockwork Orange – a book and film that explores violence and juvenile delinquency in a dystopian Britain.

This silkscreen print is an original printers proof, signed by the artist. The piece is framed in a thin black aluminium box frame.
