This piece is from the pair’s 2023 show, Truth or Dare, which explores the themes of fact and fiction that we’ve seen since they first burst onto the art scene proclaiming to be twins who had survived a Californian cult.

Speaking of the series, the duo explain: “Part nostalgic homage, part irreverent pastiche, Truth or Dare revisits Fifties-style pulp fiction covers to make a playful statement about art, literature and liberation.”

This quote is an original from the duo. In creating ambiguity surrounding who the central figure is, the observer is invited to consider both sides of the same story.
