Maria Rivans is a Brighton-based artist known for colourful and balanced collages inspired by nature and stars of the silver screen.

This personal piece is inspired by Rivans’ Italian heritage and the fond memories she has of  watching Sofia Loren films with her family on cosy Sunday afternoons.

The title of the piece, Nisha, draws from Hindu philosophy surrounding courage and resilience, a theme that runs throughout the artwork. Rivans explains:

“The artwork invites you to explore the depths of the human experience, where courage, spirit, and resilience shine brightest amidst the tumultuous skies of existence.”

This screenprint with giclée, diamond dust and spot varnishes is from a limited edition of 60, signed and numbered by the artist.
