Since his career began in the 1950s, Sir Peter Blake has been prolific, creating paintings, collage, typography and more inspired by his fascination with popular culture. Blake’s impact on the face of contemporary art is so significant, he is now known as the ‘Godfather of Pop Art.’
Sweet Child is another in a long line of album cover artwork triumphs for Peter Blake – the man behind such iconic album covers as Sgt Peppers’ Lonely Hearts Club Band, Stanley Road by Paul Weller and Stop the Clocks by Oasis.
Sweet Child was a 1968 double album from British folk-rock band, Pentangle. This print, which was published in 2002, is a celebration of the talent of both Peter Blake, and the famous folk group.
The silkscreen print is from a limited edition of 100, signed by the artist.
