Toxicómano Callejero (which translates as Street Junkie) is a Colombian street artist, known for colourful and satirical artworks exploring everything from climate change to police brutality.
In Covid is Not Dead, Toxicómano employs his high-contrast style to depict a woman, reminiscent of Mona Lisa, sporting a face mask. The piece is prime example of the artist’s intention with his work, which is to create art that combats what he calls ‘double and single standards, and ignorance.’
