Le Sommeil is part of a series of tribute pieces created by Brighton-based artist, Richard Berner, in homage to the works of the Old Masters. This artwork is an incredible interpretation of part of Salvador Dali s classic painting, Le Sommeil (The Sleep).
This is another of Berner s works to be crafted entirely from a meticulously-hand-drawn cast of little figures, that he calls Champs. It is a wonderful example of Berner s talent for creating intricate pieces that sing with unexpected details.
This print is from a limited edition of 50, signed by the artist.
