This etching is inspired by the 2008 financial crisis. The animal pictured is Perry’s symbolic depiction of the irrational beast that controls the financial markets, half bear, half bull.

The animal is surrounded by nods to symbols created in the 16^{th Century by Japanese rice traders to help them understand the fluctuations in the market. These symbols are still used by city traders today, and include terms like Abandoned Baby, Hanging Man and Three Black Crows.}

From a limited edition of 35, the piece is signed and numbered by the artist.

This piece is framed in a 25mm black box frame with white shadow float.
