Trip to the Beach is from Lilley’s London One Pound Note Series, in which he depicts iconic views of the city on vintage one pound notes. Here, he portrays a view of London’s skyscrapers from the pebbly banks of the River Thames.
This hand-pulled screenprint with yellow glitter is printed on a one pound note from the 1980s. From a limited edition of 50, the piece is signed and numbered by the artist.
