Maria Rivans is a Brighton-based artist known for richly-collaged images of vintage Hollywood starlets.Â
In Marella, Rivans depicts classic actress Rita Hayworth sporting an ocean-themed crown. Alongside marine life, surfers and deep sea divers, Rivans’ subject has a mane of colourful seaweed and a dress made of spiky coral.
This silkscreen and giclée print is hand-finished and has hand-deckled edges. From an Artist Proof edition, the piece comes signed and numbered by the artist.
