Three Graces Online

Hush is a British mixed-media artist whose unique approach to portraiture fuses street art with motifs from Eastern and Western art. By superimposing layers of graffiti onto his subjects, he creates abstract works that appear both glamorous and seedy. 

In this piece, Hush depicts the Three Graces – three figures from Greek mythology, who were patrons of the pleasures of life, including rest, play, happiness and relaxation. In decorating his deities with skulls, tattoos and beer bottles, he hints at the darker sides of pleasure.
