Sarah Arnett has created The Eyes Have It especially for the Enter Gallery Art Yard Sale 2022.
A Brighton-based artist, Arnett is known for flamboyant artworks which pay homage to her passion for the exotic, and her formative years spent living and travelling in tropical climes.
The piece is inspired by The Eyes Have It, a poem by Brighton poet, Niall Hollaert:

The eyes have it
The type of eyes to mess up everything
To watch you lose all reason. All sense. Even your shoes.
The kind that would split heavens, and put Zeus to his knees.
Rich as Montezuma in their dark cradles.
They would have you turn your back on the felony of sleep.
And knowing, always, in the pink-white wonder of your gut –
If you look too long, they can mean only –
A head full of whisky, and a half-crazed heart.
From a limited edition of 50, the piece is signed and numbered by the artist. Extra gold leaf will be applied on pieces purchased at the Art Yard Sale 2022, or within the two weeks immediately following the sale.
